My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Thank you for your interest in adopting. Rocco is a wonderful cat companion. We estimate him to be 15-18 months old and he weighs 10 pounds, from snacking with the kittens!

Rocco was left my someone at a feral cat feeding station. He walked up to the feeder and meowed, letting her know he was new there. He walked into a crate without protest and never looked back!

Rocco is loving, sweet, playful, active, and smart. He has mothered every kitten in his foster home. And he's been sweet on the female juvenile kitties in foster too. Rocco sets a good example in the kitty world for cats entering his foster home.

Rocco would pair well with another cat, which will include hide & seek games, afternoon snuggles, and ear wax removal.

Rocco is fostered in a Montevallo area foster home. We'd be happy to set up a meet and greet with an approved adopter. He has never lived with dogs.

Additional adoption info

Fees range from $250 for adult dogs, $300 for small breed dogs and small breed puppies. Purebred and toy breeds may be little higher. The fees cover a portion of the vetting fee. Adopter receives health records. Potential adopters must complete a pre-adoption application, allow us to do a home visit and call their veterinarian for a reference, and if the animal is a good match for the new home, sign an adoption contract. More about this rescue

In the deep South, animals are being turned in to shelters in record numbers, and most of them don't even make it to the adoption floor. They have to be euthanized due to lack of space. We pull as many as our resources will allow. We rescue and trap stray animals in rural Alabama. We TNR feral cats and rescue the cats we find already socialized to people. We believe animals are precious and deserve the chance to live wonderful lives. PLEASE DONATE TO OUR RESCUE AND HELP US SAVE MORE LIVES!!
