My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age/DOB: 5-3-2024

Meet Ellipsis – 1½-Year-Old Sweetheart Looking for a Forever Home (with Sister Quest!)

I’m a sweet and loving young cat who is playful, curious, and full of personality. I was originally fostered and raised in a home with kids, cats, and a large Labrador dog, so I’m used to a busy household. I especially loved exploring my first foster home — hanging out on the kids’ beds and even “helping” by walking across the Lego Millennium Falcon and nibbling on its tiny antenna.

My sister Quest and I were adopted together when we were 6 months old, but sadly we were surrendered right around our 1st birthday due to a family member’s medical issue. It was hard for me to have my world turned upside down, and it took a little time to relax and settle in with my new foster family.

Then came another adventure — Quest and I accidentally slipped outside in August. I was rescued after 10 days (whew!) but my sister was missing for 3 weeks before she was found. That’s one adventure I hope to never repeat! Since being rescued again, I’ve been a total PURR-fect gentleman!

Right now, Quest and I are in a temporary foster home residing in their guest bathroom, but we’re ready to stretch our legs and rule your home (okay, maybe just explore all the nooks and crannies). We can’t wait to find comfy sleeping spots, snuggle with you, and make your house our forever home.

Fun Facts About Me:

  • I’m 1½ years old and full of energy!

  • I LOVE running water — I’ll play in the sink, splash my paws in the stream, and drink straight from it. A cat water fountain is a must!

  • My favorite toys include springs, wand toys, lasers, and catnip mice (I often made "catnip tea" by drowning my toys in my water bowl — LOL).

  • I give the BEST head bumps and even let my foster mom cradle me like a baby for snuggles.

  • Food is awesome. I’ll do anything for moist food.

  • I’m a total “crack addict” for Churu treats — that’s the fastest way to my heart. Please have lots on hand!

  • I love helping in the kitchen, napping with you, and even chewing on shoelaces.

My Sister Quest:
Quest is my absolute best friend. We’re deeply bonded and must be adopted together. We’ll bring double the love, double the purrs, and double the fun into your life!

If you’re looking for two affectionate, playful, and endlessly entertaining companions, we’re your perfect match. Please consider adopting us together and making us part of your family forever.

I am neutered, tested negative for FIV/ FeLV, microchipped, dewormed, treated with Revolution, and am up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines.

More about this rescue

Purrs & Whiskers, Inc. is a non-profit organization serving Stafford, Virginia and its surrounding areas whose mission is to employ the best practices of the TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) philosophy and for those deemed adoptable, we provide temporary foster care while actively seeking a loving permanent living situation. This is accomplished by providing compassion, daily nourishment, and basic wellness care for both individual cats, as well as colonies of free-roaming, homeless cats living outdoors. When feasible, we will collaborate with local shelters in an effort to relieve over-crowding by identifying and adopting out shelter cats into appropriate, permanent living situations.
