My name is Dakota!

Hello, my name is Dakota! I am a 5 year old spayed female Pit mix that weighs 53lbs. I was originally found off 276 in Rockwall County on 9/27/25 and never reclaimed. I am now looking for a FURever home to call my own! I am a sweet girl that walks well on leash. I have done great with all the humans I have met so far. If you have another dog in the home, we recommend a meet and greet to make sure we are friends. Due to coming in as a stray, staff is unsure how I will do with cats in the home. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, up to date on my basic vaccines including rabies, and I am heartworm negative. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
