My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gandolph: The Feline King Who Needs His Castle Hello there! I'm Gandolph, and I'm looking for my forever kingdom. I'm a big, handsome grey gentleman with some very specific requirements for my royal subjects. What I'm Looking For? Let me be upfront: I need to be the ONLY cat in your home. No exceptions. I also need a child-free environment and an experienced cat parent who understands that some of us felines have... particular personalities. My Royal Quirks I'll be honest—I'm not your average lap cat. I demand full access to my domain at all times. Confined spaces? Not for me. When I'm restricted to one room, I get frustrated, and when I'm frustrated... well, let's just say I've been known to express my displeasure with my teeth. (I once bit my foster mom's ear when she tried to corral me back to 'my room.' Not my finest moment, but I was making a point.) My Talents Did I mention I can jump higher than any housecat my foster mom has ever seen? I'm basically part kangaroo. I'm also lightning fast, so don't even think about trying to catch me if I don't want to be caught. The Fun Stuff I LOVE to play! String toys are my jam, and I'm a master of the bunny kick. I'm also a scratcher enthusiast—a large, tall and sturdy cat tree will help me feel at home right away. The Sensitive Side Behind my regal exterior beats the heart of a sensitive soul. I startle easily and don't appreciate sudden movements. When approaching me, please extend your hand for a sniff—I'll let you know when I'm ready for affection. I adore cheek and head scratches, but I do have a limit. When I've had enough, it's best to respect my boundaries. I'm quite the communicator—I chirp rather than meow loudly, and I tilt my head when curious (I'm told it's adorable). Sometimes I play rough, but if I accidentally hurt you and you react, I'll back down immediately. I might even hide until you reassure me that I'm still a good boy. I'm very attuned to your tone and emotions. The Cuddle Factor Despite my independent streak, I do love to cuddle on my terms and might even groom you if you've earned my trust. Consider it the highest honor I can bestow. The Perfect Home My ideal home is with an experienced cat parent who: Understands that I need to rule the roost Has no other cats (at least initially, or is willing to take a very looong time to introduce us) Has no children Appreciates a cat with personality and won't try to change me Can provide plenty of space for me to run and play Is patient as I adjust to my new kingdom If you think you can provide the royal treatment I deserve, I might just allow you to become my loyal subject. The position comes with plenty of entertainment, affection (on my schedule), and the satisfaction of knowing you've given a home to a cat who truly needs someone to understand him.
