My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sadie! She is a sweet puppy who came from a Schnauzer mix mom and heeler dad. She looks like she has some Carolina Dog in her as well. She getting her 1st round of shots this week, so she will be ready to go in early October. Sadie would make a great addition to your family!

Go meet their pets

We would love for you to meet one of our rescue dogs! As we are a foster-based rescue, we don't have a facility. You can make an appointment with us to meet a dog in Tahlequah, OK area. Please email us at waymaker@waymakerrescue.org if interested in meeting a specific dog.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to rescue abandoned, abused, and neglected dogs and to facilitate needed services of food, spay/neuter, medical care, and temporary housing. We partner with local veterinarians and fosters to provide these needed services while we work to find permanent, caring homes for each dog. In addition, we create public awareness on the importance of spay/neuter, medical, and nutritional care for pets in our local community.
