My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Serena is a bright, playful young dog with an irresistible mix of sweetness and sass. She has the heart of a puppy—full of energy, curiosity, and a touch of clumsy charm. Rough-and-rowdy play is her favorite way to make friends, and while she takes correction well, she’s always ready to try again for another round of fun. Serena walks nicely on a leash and knows a few basic commands but could use a bit more practice as she continues to learn. She has been introducted to a crate and did well with potty habits in a foster home, settling in quietly at night, with the exception of a few snores. With her affectionate spirit and joyful personality, Serena will make a lively and loving companion.

More about this shelter

Collier County Domestic Animal Services is Collier County's only Open Admission animal shelter, accepting thousands of animals from all over Collier County - including those that are lost, sick, injured, neglected, abused, confiscated, or surrendered by their families.

Collier County does not euthanize healthy, adoptable, animals for space. However, DAS will not allow animals to suffer - physically or mentally - when there is no other reasonable resource available to help.

DAS has a responsibility to keep our community safe, for both people and animals, and will not knowingly adopt out animals that pose a danger to others.
