My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

NOW AVAILABLE: One (1) Perfect Dog – Meet Nova!

Nova (aka Novalee) is a young pup with a big heart and even bigger personality. She’s that perfect mix of snuggly couch potato and curious little adventurer — always ready for a nap, a walk, or a good laugh.

At just a few months old, Nova is already showing off her best qualities: she’s affectionate, smart, eager to please, and absolutely adorable. She’s currently living in a foster home where she’s thriving, learning the ropes of being a well-mannered pup.

Here’s what Nova’s into:

  • Kids – She adores them. Think of them as tiny treat machines and built-in playmates.

  • Other dogs – She’s super social and loves making furry friends.

  • Her crate – It’s her little safe space where she can relax and recharge.

  • Training – She’s food motivated and picks things up quickly (sit? stay? easy).

  • Car rides – Will happily ride shotgun. Windows down = ears flapping.

  • Watching the world go by – Especially if it involves keeping an eye on your snack habits.

Nova’s not into:

  • Cucumbers. Absolutely not. Hard pass. The betrayal is real.

She’s house-trained, crate-trained, and emotionally available for a long-term commitment. Nova promises to be your best friend, adventure buddy, and cuddle partner — and she’ll never ghost you (unless you bring cucumbers).

Currently crashing at her foster home, but she’s ready to crash on your couch next.

Located in foster care
Apply today — Nova is ready to meet her forever family!

More about this rescue

WHO WE ARE: The Buster Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and re-homing pit bulls and bully breed mixes. Through decades of cruelty, unethical breeding and irresponsible ownership, a once beloved family dog has now found itself the victim of discrimination and abuse, and a source of misdirected public fear. We believe that every dog is an individual, deserving of a loving home, proper care, and a fair shake, regardless of breed. We hope our efforts lead to a better educated and more compassionate public.

The Buster Foundation is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization, and does not operate a shelter. All Buster dogs are cared for in foster homes by volunteers who commit their homes and free time to rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption efforts.

We respect our volunteer's fierce commitment to our dogs and trust you will understand why we cannot always respond immediately to requests and inquiries. We make every effort to have a volunteer respond to inquiries and questions within 72 hours. We thank you for your understanding and patience! Please try again if you do not receive a response within 72 hours.
