Ready to adopt? Start by filling out an application at tailsofrescue.org or click the Adoption button below—this is the first step to learn more about our animals and for us to get to know you. Since not all of our pets come into the store each day, adoption meet-and-greets are scheduled by appointment.
Meet Cricket!
Cricket is one of Gecko’s puppies, born on April 2, 2025, and now about 6 months old. She currently weighs 26 pounds and is growing into a sweet, gentle young lady.
Cricket lives in a foster home in the country with her sister Honey Bear and two other dogs. She’s very submissive by nature, happy to let others take the lead, and loves following their example.
We’re slowly introducing Cricket back into the store a few times a week to help her get used to new sounds, people, and the rhythm of city life. She’s still learning leash manners and confidence in new environments, so her training is a work in progress, but she’s making small steps every day.
Cricket’s ideal home would be one that’s patient, calm, and willing to help her continue to blossom. With gentle guidance and time, this shy sweetheart will reward her family with loyalty, quiet affection, and that soft sparkle of a dog who’s learned to trust.
Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed. Adoption fee is $300
We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things. We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.
