We are so fortunate to have Gracie in our lives and in our program. Her owners were not responsible and didn't get her spayed when she was young, so she ended up in a life-threatening situation and had to have emergency surgery. Her owners wouldn't pay for the surgery, so we agreed and put her in our rescue program. Now that she has been spayed, she's good to go! But she came so close to death with a bad infection in her uterus. We just could not bear to think of her being euthanized as it's not her fault! The Veterinarian that was working the case reached out to me and said this was one of the sweetest dogs she has ever met in her veterinarian career. What better endorsement than that! She even fostered her for the first week we had her.
Gracie is amazing with children and loves all humans and anyone that will give her attention. She is housetrained and just an easy dog to love. She can be a little guarded with other dogs, but we think after she gets used to them will be just fine. She is so amazing! Her one nemesis is that she is a bit leash reactive so if you live in an area where you walk dogs with lots of other dogs, she might not be the best fit. She wants to let you know that other dogs are approaching.
Her energy is active if you would like it to be or laid-back if that's more of your style as she molds herself to whatever her humans expect of her. She has a beautifully soft coat and everyone that touches her and mention this. She sticks right with you as well and is responsive to her name. Comes whenever you want her with a smile on her face!
Our dogs are in foster homes locally as well as in TN.
