My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you would like more information about Goldie and Mr. Sweetness or are interested in adopting them, please send an email to Philngoodes@gmail.com

Goldie is one of two cats in a bonded pair, and the last two left from the original Catnip Inn/The Cat’s Pajamas of Houston adoption room. She and her partner, Mr. Sweetness, were left as kittens with the business to try to find homes, which they are unfortunately still waiting on.

They’ve had to change locations and hands several times since then, being about nine years old now. When I first met Goldie at The Cat’s Pajamas in late 2023, she was extremely outgoing, talkative, friendly, and affectionate, but she was briefly adopted. The gentleman tragically passed away leaving her and Mr. Sweetness in the home with him for a few days before they were discovered, and then she was taken and held by BARC for a few days.

Goldie hasn’t quite been the same since. She is still open to petting, loves wet food, and I can give her meds with no problems. But she is not as outgoing or talkative anymore. I am hoping with enough personal tender loving care and stability that she will go back to being her cheerful and loving self.
