My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dom is a handsome young pup—just under a year old—with an adult-sized body and a true puppy heart. When he first arrived, the world felt a little overwhelming, and he was shy and unsure. With time, patience, and plenty of love, Dom is steadily gaining confidence and beginning to shine.

He’s food-motivated, eager to learn, and actively working on his leash skills. In the play yard, Dom shows his social side and does well with his canine friends. He’s been participating in Adoption Prep Academy and private training sessions with the behavior team, where he’s making great progress—learning skills like spins and excelling at perch work.

At this age, curiosity comes naturally, and Dom is still discovering the world around him. The fact that he can focus and engage so thoughtfully in training is a wonderful sign of his potential. With continued guidance and a patient, supportive home, this sweet boy is well on his way to becoming a confident and devoted companion.

You’re interested in adopting? That’s great! We have many eager candidates who would love to meet you! If you have questions, please call us at 208-788-4351.

$150 Dogs (All ages)
$100 Kittens (Under 1 year, second kitten is free!)
$75 Senior and special needs dogs (7+,add'l care or meds needed)

We ask all who are interested in adopting an animal to fill out an adoption application. We interview all potential adopters with the goal of placing an animal with the correct family and compatible lifestyle. This is of prime importance – we endeavor to make this new home the animal’s residence for life. All of our animals must be spayed or neutered before leaving our facility as part of our adoption contract.

The adoption fees include spay / neuter costs as well as any vaccinations administered at the shelter. All animals are microchipped and your adoption fee covers the cost of a dog license for all of our Blaine County residents. You’ll also go home with a bag of food and a bag of goodies for your new pet!
