Shallot was abandoned in a house and escaped by tearing a hole in a screen and jumping from a second story window. He knew the street life was NOT for him and ran into a neighboring house when we came out to investigate the scared little guy on the porch. He can be a little skittish because of this experience, so is probably best for someone experienced with cats.
He is an incredibly playful young cat. He has endless kitten-like energy—haven’t had him with other cats, but he seems to need a playmate! He really needs a cat friend! He can go for hours with the wand and can even entertain himself with plain puffballs.
He enjoys finding new places to nap and exploring every nook and cranny.
Shallot is not very cuddly, but he finds safety in people (always in the same room and slept in same bed the first night off the street) and will keep close to you.

Meet the Pet
After approval, a meet & greet is set up between potential adopter and foster parent/cat.

Sign Adoption Contract
After a successful meet & greet, it will take at least 48 hours until finalizing the adoption is complete. Contract is signed & fee is paid.

Cats ages 1-9 years old: $100 + 8% sales tax = $108
Senior cats ages 10+ years old: $75 + 8% sales tax = $81

* You must be 18 or older to adopt. If you’re under 18, you must have a parent or guardian submit an application on your behalf.
* All cats must be kept indoors. In special circumstances, we may waive this requirement on a case-by-case basis.
* We do not adopt to any home that will declaw an animal. Declawing is cruel and unnecessary.
* All cats/kittens must be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
* Kittens under 6 months must be adopted in pairs or into a home with another active cat or cat-friendly dog.
* Your adoption fee helps to cover a small part of the costs of veterinary care. However, we strongly recommend that you take your new kitty to your vet for a check-up shortly after adopting to establish a relationship and a lifetime of regular check-ups and care.
