Bubblewrap is a tender, gentle kitty who prefers to take her time with new people and places. She’s very reserved at first and likes to quietly observe from a safe space while she figures things out. With patience and calm energy, her sweet side slowly begins to shine through.
She still prefers to hide for much of the day, but will come out to spend time with her person at the food bowl—food is definitely the way to her heart. She loves to eat, especially tuna-flavored lickable tube treats, and generally prefers wet food over dry.
Bubblewrap loves head pats and prefers when you let her rub against your hand first. She may hiss at times even while trying to be trusting, which appears to be fear-based rather than aggression. She responds well to the name Bubbles and seems more comfortable with women than men.
She does best in a quiet, low-traffic home without children or lots of people. Bubblewrap has never bitten or scratched and does great with a calming cat wall plug-in. Once she feels safe, she offers gentle affection and a meaningful bond to the person who gives her the time she needs.
