Poppy💕 our Queen of Hearts, is searching for her permanent valentine and fur-ever home! This sweet girl is full of love and is ready to give endless cuddles and kisses to her lucky person.

Poppy is a smart, eager-to-please pup who already knows basic commands like “sit” and “shake,” and she’s currently learning “spin.” She’s very easily trainable and highly treat motivated.

She’s also a proper lady who is ✨potty trained

Poppy is a playful, energetic puppy who loves staying active. She would make a wonderful companion for walks, runs, or hikes, and she enjoys playing with other animals and kids in the home.

She loves squeaky toys, enjoys playtime, and when it’s time to wind down, Poppy happily settles into her kennel, which she considers her safe and cozy space.

At the end of the day, Poppy is simply a loving, affectionate girl looking for a family to call her own. Could you be her forever Valentine? 💖🐶

Submit Application

If you see an animal you would like to meet, complete our online application. You will receive an email with the next steps.

2.
Meet the Pet

Visit the facility where the animal is located. If in foster care, the foster will set up a time to meet with you.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

One of our adoption counselors will review the animal's medical history and walk you through the paperwork.

4.
Pay Fee

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Once the adoption process is complete, you can bring your furry friend home!

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.

San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.

Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.
