My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rocko was surrendered to a shelter in California when his owner was experiencing health issues. He made the journey up to Canada and is currently being fostered on Vancouver Island.
So far Rocko has shown us he is a ROCKSTAR! He has met and done well with many dogs, greeting new people and did very well living in his foster home with small children.
Rocko is responsive to his name and some commands (sit, go to bed). Walks easy on lead and shows no signs of anxiety issues.
Rocko just turned 2 yrs old, he is neutered and up to date on his vaccines.
To adopt Rocko, applications can be found at our website at www.dobermanrescuefoundation.ca.

More about this rescue

We are Doberman lovers from across Canada
and some of our like minded neighbours across the border who are working to save Doberman Pinschers from dying in overpopulated US shelters by arranging to transport and rehome them here in Canada.

Here in Canada we have many Dobie lovers wanting to adopt a Doberman but dogs available to adopt are scarce. In the US especially in Texas and California their are many Dobermans in desperate need of rescue. Shelters are overpopulated and forced to euthanize many unwanted dogs. Doberman Rescue Organizations save as many as they can but are full to overflowing and desperate to find home for the dogs they have saved and rehabiltated so they can go on to save more dogs. DRFC was founded by a group of Dobie lovers that are seeking ways to bring these unwanted dogs together with the loving homes available and waiting here in Canada.
