Serena #18818: brown/black tabby & white, short hair, sp. female, born approx. 6/1/13
Cats: good solo or 1-2 others Dogs: unknown Children: respectful tweens+
BACKGROUND: Serena appeared one day at a colony of cats who are fed by a caretaker; she was severely underweight and in poor health with a bad infection, but Serena was friendly, so her benefactor brought her home and reached out to The Rescue House for assistance. She had her decaying and painful teeth removed and gained weight once she was able to comfortably eat. The infection left her sinuses susceptible, so Serena is on a long-term medication she takes once a week to help them stay clear. She has brightened into a happy and healthy kitty!
PERSONALITY: Serena is a very sweet and absolute beauty of a cat (with a terribly cute nose) who loves to rub her head on your and cuddle with you in bed. She loves to be petted and will ask for those pets by rolling on her back while she lies on the floor near your feet (pretty please?). Serena will also talk to you with her many adorable sounds. Although a very affectionate kitty with those she knows well, Serena has a more reserved nature around strangers; she appreciates some time to adjust to a new person and environment. However, once she trusts you, Serena will be your loving companion! She’ll give you so much affection and provide you with quality conversation. And how can you resist her strikingly gorgeous markings, those unique eyes, and her terribly cute pink nose and paw pads?
COMPATIBILILTY: Serena is comfortable with other cats after a proper introduction, though in order to have as much of your attention and focus as possible she’d prefer to be solo or just have one or two others around so she doesn’t have to share you too much. We don’t know her thoughts on dogs. She would do best in a calm household with adults or respectful tweens and up.
Sweet Serena has had a tough life and now deserves to be the queen of the house and to be doted on for the remainder of her life. She will return your affection many times over and by a loving companion for a very lucky family… maybe yours?
*** Serena is in a foster home. ***
