My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tilly - Available for foster or adoption in California. Can travel for the right home.

Tell me another story while I just look at you!

I am Tilly. My start in life wasn’t the best, but I have worked really hard to get over that. I was at the shelter, about to be euthanized, shaking and afraid in my kennel when, all of a sudden, I found myself on my way to a wonderful, gentle lady who told me all is okay and right with the world now.

I have spent a couple of months learning that I can trust people, and now—watch out, world—I am outta my shell! I have a lot of energy, I know all my basic commands, and I walk well on a leash!

I also enjoy bedtime stories and will listen while you tell them!

In case you haven’t noticed my sniffer, I have what they call a double nose. So, just in case you get lost going to the bathroom, I can find you a lot faster because I can smell better than most dogs. Seriously, I swear it’s true!

I am good with other dogs. Cats? I have never seen one, so I don’t know!

If you have older kids, that’s okay—I just don’t want to knock them over with me always being excited to experience new things.

Do you like to hike?
Are you a runner?
Bigger question—will you endlessly throw the ball for me?

If you meet all the criteria, I am yours!

Right now, I am staying in California but will travel to Naperville for pick-up for the adopter home!
