See me in my video! Say hi to Star!
Twinkle, twinkle handsome STAR - watching you return all the love we've been waiting to give you, has our eyes welling up with happy tears. Coming into our care with his siblings when the owner who had raised them so lovingly for all of their lives, was without options - it's understandable that they felt dislocated and uneasy. Fear is a powerful thing and this elegantly, tuxedoed boy was initially not ready to open his heart to us. Star is a perfect example of why we just don't give up on these sensitive cats; they are the ones who will bond most deeply with the ones who love them.
Star might not be comfortable with you right away, but he's a super smart cat. Show up and let him know you're here when he's ready. He's started to accept new friendships and an offer of chicken or churu goes a long way. The very first time he lifts his face for you to pet and snorts in contentment, it's obvious he's been waiting to be loved again. Rubbing those soft, inviting cheeks all over you and wrapping a happy tail around your arm - it's going to make you feel some things. Is he your lucky star? He just might be!
Star is currently in a foster home. Please email adoptions@pawscrossedny.org if you'd like to meet him!
The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Walk-ins are welcome! In order to interact with them, you’ll need a simple questionnaire filled out. You can fill this out at the Rescue or before you come in at: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/36923/generic
If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold pets for any reason. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants.
