My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Annie!
Annie is a 3-year old sweetheart with the kindest eyes and the softest soul. She's had a rough start in life, but you'd never know it from the way she looks at you-with pure love and trust. Annie wants nothing more than to please her person and be by their side.
She walks beautifully on a leash, never in a hurry, and often checks back in for guidance and affection. Annie loves everyone she meets and enjoys playing with her doggy playmate.
Because this clever girl can climb a cyclone fence, she'll need a home with a wooden privacy fence, or someone committed to giving her regular walks.
Annie is ready to bring her gentle heart and loyal companionship to a forever home that will love her as much as she'll love them.

More about this rescue

FAUNA is the newly combined animal rescue organization serving Natchitoches Parish. Members of Natchitoches Humane Society and Natchitoches Hope for Paws have voted to join efforts and work together alongside parish and city officials to help Natchitoches become a low/no-kill community.

Our mission is to provide and promote humane treatment for homeless and neglected animals in need, working together with the community to find them caring homes. Striving to be a low-kill community, we will provide programs and services to create a society of responsible pet owners. As animal advocates we will be a voice for those creatures who cannot speak for themselves.
