My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bambi!

DOB: 07/18/2025
• 40 lbs (as of 12/31/2025) estimated to be approx 60-70lbs full grown
• German Shepherd/Husky/Lab Mix
• Female

Bambi is a sweet and gentle puppy, with the cutest freckled on her nose, who’s ready to find her forever family! Born on July 18, 2025, she’s one of eight pups and is already showing her calm and easygoing personality.

This little lady enjoys both indoor snuggles and outdoor playtime. She’s great with dogs, cats, and children, making her a wonderful companion for just about any household. Bambi is also doing great with her housetraining, though she hasn’t yet been crate trained. During the day she’s happy roaming the house or relaxing in the backyard.

She is up to date on her DAPP.  Her adoption fee includes 3 sets of vaccinations (DHLPP (2), Bordetella (2), Rabies, Spay, first dose of HW prevention, microchip and microchip registration.

Note from the foster family:

She loves kids and does great with them. She’s very smart and treat motivated. She picks up on tricks really fast. She loves to chill with us inside. She’ll knock out next to us on the couch and just sleep. She does pretty good with cats and has an interest in other dogs but tends to be very shy and submissive around them at first.

If you are interested in adopting Bambi, please visit our website to complete an online application and the foster will be in touch: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society

We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.

Additional adoption info

Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be up to date current on Heartworm prevention and S/N. If a home visit is needed, we will complete that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fees are listed here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-fees/. There is a 5-day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family. A full refund will be issued if the pet is returned within the 5-day trial period. Before you chose to adopt, check out this link for a few items to consider before making this big step: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/are-you-ready-to-adopt/
