Meet Smartie: A Spirited Parson's Russell Terrier
Smartie is a delightful Parson's Russell Terrier, just over a year old, who is looking for a loving forever home. After being found as a stray under attack by other dogs, Smartie has become selective about his canine companions, making him the perfect candidate to be the only dog in a household. Despite this, he is a people-friendly pup who thrives on human interaction.
Key Characteristics
Dog-Selective: Best suited for a home where he can be the sole canine companion.
Leash Behavior: Smartie walks well on a leash and is not distracted by other dogs while out and about.
Cat Compatibility: He is indifferent to cats, making him a potential match for cat-friendly homes.
People-Friendly: Enjoys human company and is quick to form bonds with his human friends.
Care and Requirements
Crate Needs: Requires a wire crate instead of a plastic one, as he has a tendency to chew.
Exercise: Smartie is a high-energy dog who loves long walks and active playtime, making him an ideal companion for an active individual or family.
Training: Known for being very smart and easy to train, Smartie will thrive with consistent guidance and mental stimulation.
Health and Wellness
Neutered and Microchipped: Smartie has been neutered and microchipped for his safety and well-being.
Heartworm Negative: He has tested negative for heartworms, ensuring a healthy start in his new home.
Vaccinations: All of Smartie's vaccinations are up to date, providing peace of mind for his new family.
Smartie is a remarkable dog with a zest for life and a heart full of love to give. If you are looking for a loyal and energetic companion, Smartie could be the perfect addition to your home.
