Dog's Name: Moses (MOS0925OWSMN)
Estimated Breed: Jack Russell Terrier / Rat Terrier Mix
Approximate Age: 6 years
Approximate Weight: 23 lbs
Currently Living at: Boarding
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hello! I'm Moses and I will part the waters for your heart! I am one of four Terrier mixes who came all the way from a Georgia to find my forever home.
I am a small package with a lot of love to give. If you do not want a lap dog, I am not your guy because I am AFFECTIONATE and love nothing more than being right next to my people. I am also a happy dude whose tail does not stop wagging. Ever. Other than being a cuddle monster, I am a submissive guy that could use some confidence. Socialization will be key for me (e.g. seeing new places / being exposed to new things). In terms of doggie socialization, I love other pups so no worries there! I also have lived with a dog-savvy cat in my previous foster home and we got along great. However, I am not a fan of strangers in my home or on walks, and I can be protective of my people. I prefer slow introductions and I'll be fine once I get to know you.
My ideal home would be a rural one with a fenced yard. I am well behaved in the house and crate trained. I’m eager to please and I like to learn. Honestly, I just want someone to love full time and I hope that person is you. Apply today and come meet me ASAP!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org
