Fun Facts About Me: •I originally lived in Milwaukee with a family and even had a couple puppies. When my pups were about 6-months-old, the people we were living with moved and left us behind. •My guardian angel was watching over me, though, because a very nice person found me and took us to a safe place; eventually they even took me into their home to be part of the family •I like to romp with rowdy canines and played a bit too roughly with the resident pooch so we all felt it was best that I come to WCHS to find another home •I am somewhat active and will do best with daily physical and mental exercise; I thoroughly love to run around in the courtyard at the shelter •I enjoy going on walks, am very alert and am always looking around •Sometimes I get a bit unsure when I see something I do not recognize so I am hoping my new family will introduce me to lots of new things and places; I just need a little time and encouragement •Some folks think I am vocal because I like to bark when I see other dogs when out and about on a walk but mostly, I’m just excited to see one of my own kind •I like to jump up on things like benches or a picnic table; I might be a dog parkour or agility champ in the making •I prefer to use a slow-feed bowl at mealtime to help me take my time, enjoy my food and help my digestion •I am a lover-girl who is friendly, soft and waggy and tolerant of handling; neck and fanny scratches are simply lovely. If you sit on the ground I will likely try to crawl into your lap and I am not shy about kissing humans on the lips •I really like car rides especially when we are going someplace fun like a shopping spree or an outdoor adventure #2

Visit the shelter. We have an application that takes about 15 minutes to fill out once you have found a pet you like. You call back the next day which gives us time to review the application and gives you 24 hours to think about your decision to adopt. You can also complete our on-line application and get approved in advance of finding the perfect companion. Once approved, you are able to adopt an animal the same day.
