Suki is a 3-4 year old female Shepherd mix, who is all ready to find her forever family. This active pup is always up for whatever your day holds - a leash walk, a jog on the Greenbelt, zoomies in the yard, or curling up for some well-earned snuggles afterward. She’s also a total goofball when playing with her favorite toy - trotting around proudly with her ears perked up, as if to show off her prize. It’s impossible not to smile when Suki is in the room! She recently had a short stay with a volunteer to learn the ins and outs of home life, and she proved herself to be a very quick study. She knows 'Sit' and settles quickly using that command, plus she rides well in the car, simply happy to be going with you. At an adoption event, Suki was well-behaved when meeting small children, even those in strollers. While generally a very friendly girl, the only caution is that she seems to find cats wayyyy too interesting, so Suki is not recommended for homes with cats. Otherwise, she’s a sweet girl who is the best of both worlds - active playfulness and super lovable. Suki is sure to bring warmth, laughter, and loyalty to her future home. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.

The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.
