Meet Alexander - a gentle giant ready to find his people.
Alexander joined ANM from Casa Grande Animal Control where he we extremely stressed. He joined us down at boarding where he got to spend time decompressing, building confidence and making every volunteer's heart melt with his irresistible charm.
Alexander has recently moved into an amazing foster home where he is thriving. He walks well on leash, knows basic commands and loves his toys. He has become crate trained and does well when left alone. Alexander was initially curious of the home, but he has great house manners and is respectful of the space. He is very obedient and responds well to corrections. Alexander is super affectionate, loving to be pet and give you kisses and is now known as a world-class cuddler.
Alexander has shown positive interest in other dogs but may be selective on his playmates. Slow and proper introductions would be required with any potential fur siblings. Alexander has so much love to give and would make a great addition to most homes.

We are a group of volunteers that have worked in the rescue community in AZ for many years and are coming together to help fill a void in our rescue community. We care as much about the people as well as the dogs and want to keep giving each paw a hand until the shelters are empty. We will also provide resources for our community for people to try and keep their pet rather than surrendering them. We want to find the right fit for the people by taking a dog out of the shelter rather than making a dog fit for the people.
