My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate Weight: 51 LBS

Cedar is an all-around good boy with a heart as solid as his leash manners! This handsome pup walks beautifully on leash - no pulling, no fuss - and stays calm and collected even around other dogs in the kennels. He knows his basics like sit and lie down, and he's always ready for a cuddle session or some gentle pets.

Cedar has a balanced, easygoing energy. He enjoys bursts of playful fun with toys and other pups, but also knows how to relax and just enjoy the moment. In the play yard, he shines - greeting everyone politely, diving into play with enthusiasm, and even cooling off in the pool when it's time to chill. Cedar has been at our shelter since July of 2025, and despite being great with other dogs and all volunteers, is still waiting for his forever home. If you are willing to give this sweet guy a chance, he is waiting patiently for you at the shelter.

Our mission to care for all animals is made possible by friends like you. Every day our dedicated staff ensures that every animal receives food, veterinary care and the attention they need until they can find a forever home. The Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA is a private, 501c3 nonprofit organization and is supported by contributions, grants, bequests, proceeds from pet adoptions, pet licensing and fees for services.

With highly recognized investigative officers, IVHS answers the call of over 100 animals in need every day. With our community outreach programs we educate the public on local wildlife, proper pet care and how to be a responsible pet owner. Equally important is IVHS’s commitment to provide a mobile vaccination clinic, low-cost and no-cost spay and neuter programs for our communities.
