Bruce Willis is a truly special little guy who has already overcome so much. This 4-year-old, 17-pound sweetheart was originally found as a stray, and it quickly became clear that he needed some extra medical care. After a thorough veterinary evaluation, Bruce was diagnosed with granulomatous meningoencephalitis (GME), an inflammatory condition that affects the central nervous system. GME is immune-related and can cause seizures, unsteadiness, or other neurological symptoms depending on which parts of the brain are affected.
Thankfully, Bruce has been stable on treatment and responding well to his medication. He has had a couple of breakthrough seizures, but for the most part he’s doing very well. With consistent care, he can enjoy a happy, comfortable life, but his condition is lifelong, so he will need a dedicated owner who can stay on top of his medical needs and provide a safe, low-stress environment.
Bruce is absolutely worth every bit of care! He is incredibly sweet, mellow, and affectionate, and he thrives on being involved in whatever his humans are doing. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and adores his people, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and an open heart. We honestly don’t think he’s ever met a stranger!
This little guy has a calm, relaxed personality and loves lounging, napping, and just soaking up attention. At only 4 years old, Bruce still has his whole life ahead of him and is ready to find a loving home where he can be your devoted companion and your favorite couch buddy. If you’re ready to open your heart to a truly special, sweet-natured pup, Bruce Willis is waiting to meet you. Please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
