My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Little Jorbit is proof that a tough start in life can’t dull a joyful spirit. Estimated to be about 8 years old and weighing about 19 pounds, this sweet boy has faced a lot - he was found as a stray, missing most of his fur from a severe flea infestation, and completely blind due to chronic untreated dry eyes. But thanks to some TLC, medicated baths, and daily eye drops, Jorbit’s fur has started to grow back, his eyes are much more comfortable, and his zest for life is fully intact!

Jorbit is curious, adventurous, and has a pep in his step that will melt your heart. He enjoys lounging in cozy spots for a nap, but when the mood strikes, he loves interacting with other dogs and showering his human friends with affection. He does have a little “enthusiasm” when greeting other pups, which once led to a minor back strain, but he’s been doing well and is expected to make a full recovery. This boy is resilient and full of personality, even the occasional silly moments can’t keep him down.

He would thrive in a home with someone who has experience with senior or special-needs dogs, or someone willing to learn and patiently help him navigate life. Jorbit loves being around people and would do best with an owner who is home more often than not, sharing snuggles and gentle companionship.

Jorbit is ready to leave his rough start behind and step into a life filled with love, comfort, and stability. He’s a little adventurer with a big heart, and he’s just waiting for the person to call his own. Could you be the one to give Jorbit the home he deserves? Please inquire today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
