My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I’m Gaston! If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I absolutely love attention. Seriously—give me even the slightest bit of it and I’ll instantly break out my famous wiggles. I’ve got moves, especially in the hips, and I’m not shy about showing them off. It’s basically my superpower.

I’m a big fan of playtime, too. Running? Count me in. Chasing balls? Absolutely. Wrestling with stuffies? A daily event. And don’t even get me started on hide-and-seek—I take that game very seriously. If there’s something fun to do, I’m already halfway there with my tail wagging.

But beneath all my energy and excitement, I’ve got a charming little secret: sometimes when I’m lying down, relaxing after a long day of wiggles and adventures, I let out a tiny snort-laugh. It’s adorable, but let’s keep that between us, okay?

I’m full of personality, love, and playful spirit. If you’re looking for a fun, wiggly, joyful companion who can brighten your day with just a tail wag, then I’m your guy. Life’s better with a little Gaston sparkle in it.

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
