My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Broden’s journey hasn’t been easy, but he hasn’t let that dim his spirit. Originally adopted, his adopter bailed on him, and has ended up spending weeks in boarding instead of being networked like he deserved. Despite the setback, Broden has continued to shine as a young, energetic, and loving dog who just needs a committed family.

  • Age: Young adult

  • Personality: Playful, affectionate, and eager to learn

  • Training: Still a young dog who will thrive with consistency and continued guidance

  • Other dogs: Dog-friendly

  • People: Loves attention and bonding time

Broden is currently in Rialto, California, and is looking for an adopter who will give him the stability and love he’s been waiting for. Don’t be fooled—he doesn’t have “behavioral issues,” he’s simply young and learning, just like any growing dog.

If you’re breed-savvy, active, and ready to commit to helping Broden become the very best version of himself, he could be the perfect addition to your family.

More about this rescue

Tucked away in the wide-open spaces of Northern Nevada, Grandma’s Barn Rescue & Sanctuary is a safe and loving refuge for animals in need. We provide care and shelter to horses, donkeys, and dogs, and dream of expanding our rescue to welcome cows, goats, and other farm animals in the near future.

Our name is inspired by our beloved great-grandmother, who at 99 years old continues to share her deep love for animals. Grandma’s compassion is the heart of our mission—to give every animal a second chance at life, whether through permanent sanctuary, foster care, or adoption into a forever home.

At Grandma’s Barn, we believe that every animal deserves to feel safe, valued, and loved. Whether you’re looking to adopt, foster, support, or simply follow along, we’re so glad you're here. Welcome to the barn—where love lives, and every animal matters.
