Delgato is one of those special dogs who bonds deeply and completely with his people. This smart, sweet boy has an amazing ability to read the room and pick up on what his family needs from him. He loves routine and structure, and would do best in a home with another dog to show him the ropes and be his playmate.

Visit the facility via scheduled appt. and meet the the dog. If all seems like a good fit, the dog can go home on this day!

More about this rescue

Highland Lakes Canine Rescue was founded in 1999 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization by a group of folks who wanted to rescue homeless dogs from the Central Texas region and care for their health, rehabilitation and then to ultimately find these dogs a forever home uniting them with a newly adopted family. Initially HLCR started out as a foster only organization but over the 17 years has grown into it's own location with a kennel facility, outdoor pens, walking trails and staff and resident caretaker. An active and passionate group of staff and volunteers works tirelessly supporting HLCR and its mission.
