Looking for a gentle, shy, and oh-so-sweet pup to love? Red Moon is your girl!
This 5-month-old German Shepherd/Pitty mix has the perfect blend of brains, beauty, and heart. She’s great with cats, dogs, and kids, making her a wonderful fit for a loving family. Though she’s still learning the ropes of life like potty training and crate training, she shines brightest when she’s playing with her siblings or soaking up head scratches and giving kisses.
Red Moon’s story started when her brave mom, abandoned by her owner, found safety at her foster home to give birth. Dad has been faithfully by Mom’s side for years, and together they’ve raised a litter of wonderful pups like Red Moon.
She may start off a little shy, but once she warms up, you’ll see her fun side shine. Red Moon loves to run and play with her siblings (she’s the fastest of the bunch!) and will happily be your mellow cuddle buddy when it’s time to rest.

If you are approved to adopt, payments can be made on our website through PayPal, Debit Card or any major credit card.

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required for dogs. However, because it stresses cats to be confined and transported with dogs long distances, we do not transport our cats. They are local to Texas only. Thank you.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted.

So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
