My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

- Loves people and companionship

- Likes to play with and chew on tennis balls

- Loves pets and is very cuddly

- Great passenger in the car and a great companion on walks

- Makes the cutest pig snort noises when he's happy in the car

- Happy to lay in bed with you or go off and lounge on his own

- Recently went on a Dog's Day Out field trip and human companions said he didn't pull much on his leash, but when he did he was a strong boy

- Tends to be socially awkward with other dogs (dog intro recommended)

- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended)

- Needs to be the only dog in the home

This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you're interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for age

The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, and not breed label
