Meet Janice (aka Janney): a friendly, gentle soul ready for a real home.
Janice is about 1½ years young and impossibly sweet. Found as a friendly stray while caring for kittens, she’s now patiently waiting for a home of her own, and she truly deserves more than living alone in a foster room while she waits for her person!
This beautiful girl is a stunning blend of white and soft orange markings, with a medium-length coat and the fluffiest white belly. And that nose? Completely irresistible. Janice has a signature “zig-zag walk” because she simply must rub against everything on her way to greet you. She’s affection in motion.
Janice would be an ideal companion for someone looking for a one-and-only cat . She thrives as the sole focus of your affection. While she isn’t a lap cat and doesn’t enjoy being picked up, she loves being close, lying beside you and soaking up pets, scratches, and quiet companionship. She’s the kind of cat who simply wants to be with you.
Janice is not a fan of dogs or other cats and would do best without young children, simply because she doesn’t like to be picked up. She’s never mean, just politely panicked about escaping unwanted hugs. In the right home, her sweetness truly blossoms.
Janice has impeccable litter box manners, uses her scratching posts like a pro, and is a total foodie. Temptations treats are her love language. She takes treats gently from your fingers (check out the video!) Her favorite pastimes include lounging on her cat tree watching the world go by, relaxing on the futon for naps, and claiming her scratching box and sisal mat as home base.
Because she needs to be an only pet, Janice has spent the last three months alone in a foster room. Her foster mom is so sad and knows she’s lonely in there. Janice handles adoption events briefly, but the cage overwhelms her. She’s much better at showing her loving personality in her foster home. Ironically, she’s incredibly easy to get into a carrier and never puts up a fuss.
Every time her foster mom enters her room, Janice lights up by rubbing, weaving, and greeting her like it’s the best moment of her life. She has so much love to give and is just waiting for someone to see her for who she really is: a loyal, gentle companion who wants nothing more than a loving home and a human to adore!
Janice doesn’t need a lot — just someone to choose her.
