Mikey was brought in by a community member on September 11, 2025.

Meet Mikey, a sweet and playful pup in search of a loving new home! Mikey can be a bit shy with new faces and places, and appreciates a slow approach to open up at his own pace. Once he builds trust, he shares his playful and affectionate side - running around to chase toys and leaning in for gentle pets. Mikey would thrive in a calm, lower-traffic home without young children (under 8) where he can continue to build confidence. He arrived with another dog, and may benefit from living with another dog-social pup. If you're looking for a loving pup with lots of potential, Mikey could be your guy!

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.
