Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Carob is a shy and gentle girl who is dreaming of her furever home! Carob has known her share of heartbreak, as she came into the shelter after her owner passed away. A buddy she came in with has since been adopted, and she is hoping that she`ll be able to get outta this joint ASAP! Shelter staff and volunteers are so proud of her; the shelter is a pretty scary place and Carob is trying her very best to be brave!
“Carob was shy when I met her in her kennel, but easy to leash up and she walked great, right by my side. We went a yard and she walked around, exploring, allowing brief touch as she walked by me. We had an easy to return to kennel where she leaned into me.”
“I walked Carob Friday evening. Carob walked gently on leash and she loved sniffing and exploring. We sat on a beach by the lake and Carob allowed pets on her shoulder and back. She was more relaxed after her walk and cuddle time.”
“I met Carob for the first time a couple of weeks ago. We made our way to a play yard, where she went potty and explored. Her kennelmate was pretty scared and she was such a sweet comforter to them. After about 15 minutes together she allowed me to pet her chin and scratch between her ears. This was her FAVORITE as she leaned into me as I scratched her head between her two big ‘ol ears!”
We are so proud of Carob, as she has shown that despite hardship, she is resilient and ready to love! She’ll thrive in a home with a family who will give her time to warm up and feel safe. Once she knows that she’s “home,” she’ll show the sweetness and love that we have seen glimpses of in the shelter. If you believe in second chances, Carob is the girl for you!
Carob shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Ask to meet Carob today!!
