Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Raquel: Our Longest Resident
RAQUEL IS CURRENTLY IN A FOSTER HOME WITH CHILDREN AND IS DOING EXCEPTIONALLY WELL! This wonderful girl is patiently waiting for a loving home where she can truly shine. As our longest-term resident, Raquel deserves a dedicated family who will give her the stable future she has been waiting for.
Meet Raquel, she is a beautiful mix. We don`t know much about her past since she came to us as a stray, but we`ve quickly learned she has a big heart just waiting to open up.
Raquel is currently a bit shy and reserved as she continues to decompress from life as a stray. She previously found the hustle and bustle of the shelter overwhelming and needed quiet time to feel safe.
However, once she`s out of her kennel and gets a chance to go out with staff or volunteers, her true potential emerges! She has been warming up beautifully to the people she meets one-on-one outside. She is a dog who truly thrives on patience and gentle encouragement. Give her a minute, and you`ll see her tail start to give happy little wags.
Based on observations, Raquel needs a home where she can be the only pet, as she has shown she does best without other dogs or cats in the household.
Raquel will be spayed prior to adoption and has received core vaccinations (bordetella, canine distemper, rabies), flea + tick preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped.
If you are interested in adopting Raquel, reach out to us at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org. You can also make an appointment online or feel free to take a peek during our open hours!
