Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Raisin is a 6 month old Shar Pei mix with a heart of gold. Raisin was found dumped along side a country road at the age of just 3 months. He was suffering from very dry skin and a painful ear infection, yet all he would do was love on anyone willing to give him just a minute or two of their time.
Raisin has been treated for his skin with medicated baths and diet. He was given antibiotics for the ear infection and with a continued at home ear cleaning routine, he has done very well. Raisin has been fully vaccinated, dewormed, neutered and microchipped.
Raisin loves everyone he meets, although he may take just a little bit to warm up to them. He does great with other dogs and cats. He currently lives with other dogs weighing from 5 lbs to 140 lbs and plays well with them all. He know he can rough house with the bigger ones and some simple play time for the littles. Raisin is a very good eater and currently gets salmon oil with his meals to keep his skin healthy. He is house and potty trained with no accidents. He goes into his nighttime crate very well, knowing a small treat will follow. He knows sit and he he knows the wait command when being given a treat. He walks great on a leash and does not pull. He loves going on outings to the pet store, Lowes and the park. He rides well in the car and jumps right in.
Raisin can be left out for 3-4 hours with no issues. He is currently only crated at night. He lives the play hard sleep hard lifestyle. If he's not wrestling one of his fur buddies or playing tug of war with his rope, you can usually find him curled up on the couch or his doggy bed snoring away.
Please be aware of the continued care a Shar Pei tends to involve before putting in your application. Raisin is definitely worth it.
