Toby is a special boy looking for a forever person. He's 4.5 years old and 65 lbs, fully house/crate trained, loves walks and going on car rides. He was owned by an older couple who unfortunately had to go to assisted living so they surrendered him. He lived with an older husky in his previous home but doesn't love most other animals in his space. He does well meeting new people one on one and when he trusts you he will be the best protector and loves to give kisses. He would do best with someone who has a calmer lifestyle and wants a buddy to follow them around and watch out for them. He's had a couple different homes now so would love to have a true forever place of his own! If interested in meeting this dude, please put an application in at www.foreverhomedogs.org!All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots.
Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.

Forever Home Dog Rescue is dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals primarily from high-kill shelters.
In working with committed volunteers, temporary care homes and local veterinarians, we are able to rescue dogs, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully screened forever homes. All our rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped and have all necessary veterinary care.
We were formed in January 2014 and are a non-profit organization in central Iowa. We are pending our official 501c3 status. We receive no government funding and rely completely on donations.
