Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Zoey and her two siblings were rescued at just 8 weeks old by one of our amazing fosters. From the start, it was clear these little ones needed extra socialization. While her siblings gradually grew more comfortable around people, Zoey has taken smaller steps forward.
Now about 4–5 months old, Zoey still has plenty of room to grow. She’s truly a “cat’s cat”. If you’re looking for a loving companion for your resident cat but don’t necessarily want another cuddly, people-oriented kitty, Zoey could be the perfect fit. She enjoys being part of the household, doesn’t hide, adores the other cats, but prefers her independence when it comes to humans.
We always try to give the kittens who need a little more socializing a chance. Majority of the time, they come around and truly blossom. Other times, no matter how hard we try, they show us who they want to be and we learn to respect that.
That said, with time, patience, and maybe a new environment, Zoey may continue to blossom. Right now, though, we’re meeting her exactly where she’s at and hoping to find someone willing to do the same.
Zoey must have another friendly cat in the home and would thrive with a family who understands her unique spirit.
