We took in Dale and hoped to help him more than we have been able. He’s a great dog- very sweet and loving once he warms up.
He is very fearful. We don’t think he was treated very nicely as a young pup.
He isn’t aggressive but he will sometimes pee when nervous. He gets nervous about his leash being put on and prefers to go into his crate first. I’m certain that with training, Dale could gain confidence and those behaviors would cease. Unfortunately we do not have the time or resources to dedicate to that.
That said, he will need an experienced adopter who is willing to work with his quirks and train him.
As he is a Cavapoo, he does need fairly regular grooming. His coat is not hard to manage, however, as it is more wavy than curly.
He is great with our other dog and great with the cats we have been caring for. Unknown how he is with small children.
He’s UTD on rabies and bordetella vaccine.
