Smokey came into our care as a forced surrender due to living conditions and neglect. He was infested with fleas which resulted him loosing his hair, and having bare skin. His coat is going to take a while to get back to normal and he is getting medicated baths to help the process. He is about 7 years old, and even though his appearance doesn't look the best, he has the gentle-est heart! He is also underweight so he is getting extra meals to help him gain weigh slowly! We were told he does not do the best with other dogs and would prefer to be the only canine in the home, regardless of him living with 2 other dogs in his previous home, but he seems to just be selective, and prefers the ladies. Cats and kids are unknown, but there was a cat with babies in the house previously.

All dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 2 years old), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet Reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the dog of your choice. If you have a dog currently, you should bring him/her along to meet the new dog so we can see how everyone interacts. Please visit our website for additional information.
