The Hunterdon Somerset ARC (Animal Rescue Center) is a foster based rescue program that aids in reducing the number of domestic animals put to sleep in high kill shelters. Through a series of foster homes set up to pull urgent animals from shelters, these foster homes open up kennel space in over-crowded shelters, therefore saving the lives of those we pull, and making room for other lives to be saved at the shelters. Adopting from our foster homes saves three lives- the one you adopt, the one who takes the adopted dog's place in the foster home, and the new animal who takes the foster animal's place at the shelter.
