🐾 Meet Gordo: 8 Pounds of Loyalty, Cuddles and Endless Love 🐾

Gordo may only weigh 8 pounds, but this little Chihuahua mix is living proof that the best things really do come in small packages. At just 3 years old, he’s equal parts lap-warmer, Nyla bone enthusiast, lizard chaser, and full-time heart thief.

He’s got a soft spot for the ladies—his ideal home is with a calm, loving woman who doesn’t mind having a pint-sized shadow follow her from room to room. (Gentlemen, don’t worry—he’ll accept you too, but he’s a mama’s boy at heart!) Because of his sensitive nature, Gordo would do best in a quieter home without kids, ideally with another small dog buddy to snuggle and catch some rays.

💊 Gordo is considered special needs. He has occasional seizures, but with his daily meds (Levetiracetam and Phenobarbital—about $50 every two months), they are being managed well. He’ll also need Midazolam on hand, just in case. The good news? He takes his meds like a champ, and he doesn’t let this slow him down from enjoying life’s simple pleasures.

Some of Gordo’s favorite hobbies include:

Curling up with his human like a living, breathing neck pillow 💤

Catching some rays - made so much better if he can curl up with a doggie sibling

Begging shamelessly for watermelon 🍉

Sitting in your lap just to be as close as possible ❤️

Joining his small-dog pals in epic standoffs with the vacuum

Gordo is house trained, crate trained (he happily hops in at mealtime), and ready for a forever home where he can feel safe, loved, and cherished.

He may have been through a lot already, but Gordo’s heart is wide open and waiting. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive pup who will adore you endlessly (and maybe steal your watermelon), Gordo just might be your perfect match. Apply today at haydudeequine.org🐶💖
