My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ash 💙

The first thing everyone notices about Ash is his striking, thoughtful blue eyes. He watches the world carefully and gently, with a quiet hope that truly reflects who he is at heart.

Ash is a six-year-old, soft-hearted boy who was recently surrendered and is ready for his next chapter — one filled with stability, kindness, and love. He’s calm-natured, affectionate in subtle ways, and happiest when he feels safe and understood. While new or busy environments can make him a bit skittish, Ash tries every day to be brave. Once he’s comfortable, he settles in beautifully, relaxing nearby and enjoying simply being part of the household rhythm. He isn’t a velcro dog, but he loves being close to his people.

This handsome guy is fully house-trained, leash trained, and does well with other dogs. He thrives on routine and structure, which help build his confidence and make training both smooth and rewarding — especially since Ash is very food-motivated! He enjoys outdoor time (He would love a big yard to run around in and to go on hikes!- He would need a strong handler- he does pull on the leash some.) and has a nice amount of energy, but he’s equally content to wind down and cuddle when the day is done.

Ash is looking for an adults-only home where he can feel secure. Children tend to make him nervous, and he does best in a calm, predictable environment. He also has a high prey drive, so a home without small animals is important. Ash has a few personal boundaries — he doesn’t enjoy his paws being handled and appreciates having a quiet space of his own when he needs a break. Having his humans nearby helps him feel grounded, and in return he offers quiet loyalty, gentle affection, and deeply meaningful companionship.

Ash is ready for a patient, loving home that values sensitivity and trust. He is truly a good boy — one who deserves a safe, steady place to land.
