Meet Miss Waverly

Miss Waverly is a gentle, 6-year-old sweetheart who blossoms when given patience, kindness, and a quiet space to feel safe.

Though shy at first and prone to hiding in busy environments, she quickly shows her affectionate side once she trusts you—purring, making biscuits, rolling to the side, and leaning in for soft pets, chin rubs, and ear scratches.

Miss Waverly is a well-mannered cat who uses her litter box reliably, enjoys her scratching post, and loves all kinds of toys—feathers, strings, balls, lasers, you name it.

This sensitive girl will thrive in a calm home where she can start off in her own cozy room and warm up at her own pace. Once she feels secure, Miss Waverly becomes a loving, gentle companion who never lashes out, even when nervous. She may always be a little cautious and easily startled, but with a patient adopter, she has so much affection to give.

Miss Waverly is ready for a soft landing and a person who understands that some of the sweetest cats simply need a slower introduction to shine.

Fill out an adoption questionnaire and get ready to meet with a counselor (same day!)

Meet the Pet

You'll meet with the pet with one of our adoption counselors or we will connect you with the foster home!

Fees vary by species & age. All fees are posted to the website.

The Adoption Center is open M,T,Th,Fr from 12-7pm and Saturday & Sunday from 12-5pm. The Shelter is closed to the public on Wednesdays.

The Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC), proudly operated by the Montgomery County Office of Animal Services, provides high-standard sheltering and care to the homeless, abused, and neglected animals in Montgomery County and ensures the safety and welfare of the county’s citizens.

The Center’s doors are open to all animals in need from: dogs and cats to farm animals, wildlife, and exotics. Trained staff provide animals with daily care, mental and physical enrichment, health and wellness checks, and more. Through adoptions, spay and neuter assistance, vaccination clinics, education and outreach, the Center serves as a critical community resource to promote and advocate for responsible pet care. With community support and partnerships with other animal-welfare groups, our Foster, Rescue and Volunteer programs enhance and save the lives of even more homeless animals.
