Meet Ellie! 🐾
Ellie is an 10 month old Husky/Herding dog mix with a big heart, a big smile, and plenty of puppy energy to go around! She’s medium to large in size and still growing into her paws, but her goofy charm makes her impossible not to love. She is available for adoption through PAWS Rescue inc.
Ellie is a curious, playful girl who loves to run, explore, and stick her nose into everything. She’s great with kids (though her excitement can sometimes knock little ones over) and she’s very social with other dogs. She even plays with cats though she tends to “bully” them in a silly, playful way, never with aggression.
This smart girl is crate trained and potty trained with a doggy door. She isn’t leash trained yet, but with a little patience and consistency, she’ll catch on quickly. She loves squeaky toys, shin bones, walks, and running around the yard, but she’s also a cuddle bug who adores being close to her people. Fun fact: Ellie smiles when she’s happy, “talks” to you when she’s excited, and yes she’s known to pass some funny little farts, too.
Ellie would thrive in an active home with another friendly dog to play with, or with someone who spends a lot of time at home and can keep up with her energy. She’ll do best with a family who is kind, patient, and ready to give her the love and structure she needs as she grows.
*Fenced yard required*
If you’re looking for a playful, loyal, and endlessly loving companion, Ellie might just be your perfect match! 💙

Since our formation in early 2013, we have helped save thousands of cats and dogs throughout Idaho from neglect, abuse, and death. Many of our rescues come from the Burley Idaho Animal Shelter where PAWS has transformed what was once a high kill facility to a shelter where every adoptable animal gets a second chance! PAWS also takes in stray pets from all over Idaho including Twin Falls, Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. We work our very hardest to respond to every call for help!
PAWS Rescue, Inc. saves all breeds of cats and dogs of all ages as well as animals who have been hit by cars, shot, abandoned, abused, and neglected.
Rescued animals are placed in loving foster homes or transferred to other no kill partner facilities giving them a chance to find the perfect forever home. Our efforts give these deserving animals a second chance at a happy life.
Every animal receives veterinary evaluation and care, including spay/neuter and vaccines, as well as treatment for any other medical issue they may have. No animal is ever euthanized due to expense.
