My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***Thanks to a generous donation from Tika’s owners, all senior cat adoption fees are being sponsored through our Tika Senior Cat Adoption Promotion – including Agnes’!

Meet Agnes, she's a 14 year old spayed female. She's microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations and FIV/FeLV negative!

Agnes has come a long, long way. When she arrived at CRHS in May, she was in rough shape—tired, thin, and ready to dart at the first opportunity. But everything began to change when she went into foster care in June. With time, patience, and love, Agnes has started to believe in people again.

She’s not exactly shy—she's scared. Loud noises and sudden movements still make her uneasy, and she may always need a bit of extra understanding. She'll also need a feline friend in her new home as she finds extreme comfort in their presence. But underneath all of her caution is a cat who wants to connect. And once you’ve earned her trust? You’ll get slow blinks, soft purrs, and the most heart-melting display of biscuits and belly rolls. She especially adores chin and neck scratches—those are her love language.

Her foster home has cats and large breed, cat-savvy dogs who she does well with! She'll appreciate kids 10 years of age and older who will not startle or chase her.

Agnes will need a quiet home and a small, cozy space (like a bathroom or spare room) to decompress in as she adjusts to her new surroundings. She’s a cat who moves at her own pace—but every milestone with her is deeply rewarding.
