My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lady Diana’s story began with hardship—she was struck by a vehicle before kind Samaritans rushed her to safety. Despite everything, she has remained gentle, cooperative, and full of love.

With time and rest, there is a chance her function may return, but amputation may be needed if she doesn’t regain use of the limb. She also had hair loss and skin irritation from a flea allergy, which is already improving with treatment.

Through it all, Lady Diana has shown what a sweetheart she truly is. She loves to cuddle in your lap and simply wants to be near her people. She would thrive in a calm, caring home where she can continue healing—whether as a foster or forever companion.

Lady Diana is ready to start her next chapter in a safe, loving environment where she can receive the care she needs and the affection she craves.October 2, 2025, 6:20 pm

Additional adoption info

All of our animals come fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered (if old enough), and microchipped. Puppies and kittens will be spayed/neutered and have all shots when they are old enough. There is an Adoption application, a quick phone interview to make sure it is a good fit, a meet and greet with the dog, then a home check, and an adoption contract. We ask for a $400 donation for adult dogs, and $500 for puppies at the time of adoption so that we can save other dogs from the shelter. The first step is to fill out an app here: https://thelittlereddog.org/dog-adoption-forms

More about this rescue

The Little Red Dog (TLRD) passionately transforms canine lives through holistic rehabilitation, education, and community outreach. Since 2011, the mission for our nonprofit has been clear: rescue, educate, find homes, and assist the people in our community who are in need. By advocating for comprehensive behavioral understanding, and assistance to the community, we strive to reduce animal cruelty, and the number of animals being surrendered to the shelter, thereby eradicating euthanasia and fostering a world where humans and dogs thrive together, and all humans and animals are free from discrimination. Through our efforts, we address both immediate needs and underlying issues. We envision a world where every dog, regardless of its past, has a loving future, and where canines and humans always feel included and appreciated. We are on a mission from dog!
