This helps HOPE (Homeless & Orphaned Pets Endeavor) with pet care costs.

Hey there, everyone! I’m Buttons, a sweet, affectionate, and gentle brown tuxedo-tabby fella with a white mask on my face, vest on my chest, and mittens on my paws. I’m a super cuddly lap cat who just wants to be close to Foster Meowmy. I’ll happily curl up in her lap, purr the day away sounding like a little motor, and even make biscuits to show my love. I may even nudge her to remind her that I love to have my ears, chin, and cheeks scratched. I’m a calm, easygoing Gentle Giant who doesn’t let much faze me because I’m very relaxed about life in general. I’m a young guy who’s playful in short bursts, and then I’m back for snuggles.
My foster pawrents found me as a friendly stray who was hanging around a neighborhood bus stop. Thank heavens they scooped me up and brought me home, where I heard Foster Meowmy tell someone recently, “Buttons has been stealing hearts ever since.” I’m not surprised because I’m an exceptionally amiable cat – who wouldn’t fall in love with me?
When Foster Meowmy got me fully vetted, I was diagnosed with a painful dental disease, so I had all of my teeth removed. Guess what? With no teeth, I’ll never need dental cleanings again. I’m feeling so much better, eating well, and even enjoying crunchy food again. I also tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV+), which I probably contracted from the deep bite wound from an intact male cat. (Unlike Feline Leukemia, FIV is NOT passed on "casually" by sharing food bowls and litter boxes with other household cats.) Don’t let my diagnosis worry you because FIV+ cats can live long, healthy lives with regular vet care!
Admittedly I had a rough start, but now I’m thriving and ready to be my forever family’s loyal shadow and snuggle buddy. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me today! Incidentally, there are advantages to adopting a kitty like me who's beyond the stage of kitten mayhem. I'm much less likely to cause chaos in your home or break any of your treasured accessories.

Buttons' $125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites.
